Things are starting to pile up at the moment, especially since I'm juggling rehearsals for A Christmas Carol, my piece for Thespians districts, school, and work. It's definitely getting stressful. I feel a bit overwhelmed, but I definitely feel like it will all be worth it. A Christmas Carol is different because of doing dance instead of singing, but it's still a really fun experience, as always. This is my first year doing thespians, so I'm really nervous. It's a new thing for me, so I'm only participating in one category. I'm interested to see if musical theatre is something I want to do in college as well. I'm really enjoying doing it with everyone and I hope that I'm able to go to states as well.

When looking at possibly pursuing a career of music, there are many things I need to look at. For instance, there are several pros and cons when it comes to being a musician, but the real question is: Do the pros outweigh the cons? Musicians undergo severe scrutiny and criticism. They are also looked up to by many. This can result in a lot of pressure for how you go about your everyday life. Especially with how popular social media is, it's easy for people to attain as much knowledge as they want about one's personal life. At the same time, I could take advantage of my platform and use it as a way to expand the kingdom and be an influence of Christ to others. In the long run, I think that in general being a musician is bittersweet.
